Cut the demand charge.
Flatten the overhead line.
Commercial solar and storage modeled against your actual tariff and interval data — FPL, Duke, TECO, JEA or co-op — so the payback we put in writing is one you can defend to a partner or a lender.
What actually moves the number.
Peaks cost more than energy
On many Florida commercial tariffs the 15- or 30-minute peak sets a big share of the bill. Storage that clips that peak can matter more than panel count. We model it with your interval data.
Outages cost operating hours
Refrigeration, POS, servers, production lines. A battery sized to your critical loads keeps the business open when the feeder drops.
Verified per project, not pre-stated
Commercial tax treatment and incentives shift. We show the current rules for your project date, in writing, and recommend you confirm with your CPA.
Light industrial to strip retail.
Retail & restaurants
Daytime load matches solar production; refrigeration backup matters.
Warehouses & light industrial
Big flat roofs, big peaks. Often the strongest economics in the segment.
Offices & medical
Predictable weekday load; batteries protect equipment and records.
Multi-tenant & mixed use
Common-area loads, EV charging amenities, and canopy solar over parking.
What do you need to run numbers?
Twelve months of bills, ideally interval (15-minute) data from your utility portal, and the property address. With that we can model production, demand-charge impact and payback in years, in writing.
How long is payback?
It varies by tariff, roof, and how much of the bill is demand-driven. We quote payback in years for your specific site after modeling — never a generic range on a website.
Can we add EV charging later?
Yes, and it's often smart to plan conduit and service capacity for it now. If you own the property and it has the traffic, look at the Tesla V4 Supercharger page as well.
Who performs the work?
A state-licensed Florida contractor. Islander Solar is the technical advisor and project coordinator; the contractor performs installation, electrical and permitting under its own license.
Send twelve months of bills. We'll show you the peaks.
A technical advisor within 24 hours; a written demand-charge and solar analysis after that.
